If you don’t think there are two sets of rules, one for us and one for them, then you are living on another planet. Look at Democratic Sen. John Fetterman. Maryland State Police found him to be at fault in a crash, due to excessive speeding, that injured himself, his wife and another driver. No field sobriety test and no charges filed. Think being a U.S. senator had something to do with it? I hope the other driver sues him for all she can get.
