Letter to the editor: Unions help workers keep up with inflation

The one constant of economic life is inflation. Prices go up. Always. There was a time when wages went up with them. But that was when most U.S. workers were represented by unions. Because of inflation, potatoes aren’t still a nickel a pound. Because of unions, you’re not still making 85 cents an hour. That’s how the economy works. If it makes you feel better to blame President Biden, go right ahead. But the smarter thing to do would be to organize and join a union.
