There is an upcoming Supreme Court case that, to my shock, no one is talking about: Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, Ind. (HHC) v. Talevski.

This case has the potential to harm tens of millions of people beyond the state’s borders. With Talevski, the Supreme Court could strip state governments’ accountability for violating the rights of those depending on federally funded safety net programs like Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, CHIP, etc.; remove legal avenues for victims of nursing home abuse; and ax voting accessibility for people with disabilities and even statutes like Title IX, Title VI and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Please do everything you can to demand that HHC drop its Supreme Court petition. Start with the Citizens’ Action Coalition at: citact.org/hhc.

Raise your voice about this case, even simply by posting this on social media. It’s the least we can do. We all owe it to each other.
