I believe our government has been lying to us. I am not surprised, but I was surprised when UPMC was truthful about the ineffectiveness of some cloth masks. That should make the national news.

Every year, UPMC sends policy-holders its Over-the-Counter Catalog, from which we can order some common health care products. On page 27, UPMC describes its cotton masks: “The mask is not FDA-approved, is not intended for medical use and is not proven to reduce the transmission of disease.”

Wear your fashionable cloth face masks. Be good little sheep. Gov. Tom Wolf will be happy.

Cloth masks are a booming business. However, some cloth masks clearly provide no protection against covid-19. How lucky do you feel?
