Letter to the editor: U.S. voting system is a disaster
This election has been the biggest fiasco in our country’s history. Mail-in voting is a disaster; I think that’s the way the Democrats want it to be, so they can cheat and get away with it.
To have an honorable and fair election, we must require photo ID and vote in person. Only those with disabilities should be able to vote by mail. We could send Democratic and Republican representatives to nursing homes to secure residents’ ballots, bring them back to a voting place and insert them into voting machines.
It’s disgraceful here in America that we don’t require photo ID for our presidential election. I went to the grocery store the other day to purchase a six-pack of beer. The cashier wanted to see a photo ID. I said, “Look at me, I’m 75 years old,” and he still said I need a photo ID from you to purchase this six-pack of beer. I was stunned to say the least.
But here we are, the most important election in our country, and we don’t even have a photo ID to prove who we are; it’s utterly disgusting. Look at Mexico: Every Mexican citizen must have a tamper-proof photo ID with a thumbprint and a hologram. India has 1.3 billion people, with 39 million living in poverty, yet every single voter in India must show photo ID to vote.
Stop the nonsense, Democrats, and let’s start having a fair election — and that goes for the media puppets of the Democratic Party, too.
