Regarding Leonard Mucci’s letter “How can veterans support Trump?” (Aug. 26, TribLIVE): President Bill Clinton was a draft dodger. President George W. Bush was in the reserves. Joe Biden received five student draft deferments and was disqualified from service because of asthma, although in his memoir he talks about playing football and being a lifeguard. President Trump was exempt for bone spurs.

My husband was rejected twice for a wrestling injury and then was drafted and went to Vietnam in 1967-68. My brother volunteered. He and my brother are proud to support a businessman rather than a lying career politician who, in my opinion, has few accomplishments other than making himself and his family members millionaires.

Trump’s net worth has dropped $1 billion, and he works for free. Biden has lied about law school, his civil rights work and, according to wife Jill’s ex-husband, how the two met.
