It amazes me that around election time our legislators decide to do all kind of good things — like bringing up voter ID. Our incumbent in District 55, Jill Cooper (running for reelection), along with several House colleagues, is supporting a discharge resolution that would allow the House of Representatives to consider adding a voter identification requirement to the Pennsylvania Constitution, as noted in her March 29 newsletter: “the proposal is being held in the House State Government Committee and is not scheduled for a vote anytime soon.” Really? Then why even bring it up now? Oh, I forgot — it’s election time.

Please consider this ploy being given to us by our incumbent and vote for Jamie Lingg, a true conservative candidate for District 55 whose principals and values will not be compromised. She is pro-life, pro-Second Amendment and pro-“we the people.” This is the way we enact terms in our government — by voting the incumbents out.
