Letter to the editor: Voters wanted Hillary Clinton as president

The writer of the letter “Dem candidates, impeachment” (Dec. 5, TribLIVE) stated that “Hillary just can’t accept the fact that voters don’t want her for president.” If the writer had an open mind and checked some facts, he would see that his statement is not true.

In 2016, 2.87 million more voters, who the president is supposed to represent, voted for Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. The voters of this country wanted Clinton as president.

No matter what election system this country has, most honorable individuals, after seeing the huge difference in votes, would have conceded defeat. There is no question this country needs a better voting system.
