Letter to the editor: Voting for Biden because Trump has failed us

Like many Americans, we are increasingly concerned about the direction our country has taken. Since the beginning of democracy, leadership and responsibility reside with the person who sits behind the Resolute Desk in the White House. How has President Trump handled his duties? Has he proven to be an objective, fair, honest, moral, informed, inclusive leader?

We think not. The level of incompetence, divisiveness and just plain ignorance we witness on a daily basis is staggering. We are a country divided. A true leader unifies, and we believe Trump has failed us.

As responsible and informed citizens who are concerned about the fate of our economy, our environment, our health and our democracy, we are casting our votes for Joe Biden. He is the rational choice to heal our troubled nation.
