Letter to the editor: Voting in person can be a challenge for many
Regarding Cliff Long’s letter “We should eliminate mail-in voting” (Aug. 16, TribLIVE): Do you use a wheelchair, rollator or even a cane to get around? If not, count your blessings. Are you able to stand in line for long periods of time? Are you able to go up and down steps without a problem? I have been to polling places where there were steps, and have stood in long lines to vote. Many people can’t do this.
Why deprive the physically challenged of their right to cast their paper ballot? Their vote is important, too. Who knows, they may be voting for your candidate.
