There is only chaos with Donald Trump’s candidacy. His entire life has been nothing but. The majority of Americans agree, as shown by the popular vote in 2016 and 2020. It will be shown again in 2024.

Personally, I have always voted for the party platform, for ideas that help Americans — issues like gun regulations, pro-choice, supporting Ukraine and NATO, infrastructure, unions, separation between church and state. President Biden and Kamala Harris have a solid core group in their administration. As a result, America has the strongest economy and individual freedoms second to none. That would change with Trump.

However, Trump isn’t the problem. There have always been people wanting power and doing whatever it takes to get it. But it’s the misinformed voters this time that are the problem — still listening to lies and disavowing proof of the opposite, and their willingness to vote for a felon and accepting his crude, uncouth ways (e.g., how he can grab women).

Most of those who served with Trump are not supporting him, not even Mike Pence. Are they all wrong? Are they insane or jealous? What do they know that we don’t? He has convinced many that it’s more important to vote for hate, discrimination, vindictiveness. That’s the Trump platform, followed by the Republican platform Project 2025. Read up on that!

Final thoughts: American democracy is great, our republic is great, even with its flaws. My vote is to keep it, not destroy it.
