Letter to the editor: We must end Trump nightmare
One of the most important duties of a president is to set an example for all to see. The sight of President Trump refusing to wear a mask should be an insult to all Americans, who are supposed to put one on every time they go into a business or work. Is this a good example for kids?
I watched a recent TV interview with Trump in which he dodged questions, praised himself, complained about being picked on, and blamed the Democrats and media, as well as everyone from Presidents Obama and Clinton and both Bushes. I swear, if he could find a way to blame George Washington for something, he would.
He seems to be obsessed with Obama, going back to his claim that Obama wasn’t an American-born citizen. Then he had to eat his words. To me, it was a sign of Trump’s racism, as well as his many lies. How long that list has grown … .
In the same interview, he bragged about his “ratings.” In my opinion, his main incentive is his reelection, rather than concern for the health and welfare of all Americans, as well as dividing the country.
In November, it’s not a matter of who replaces Donald Trump or what party that person represents. It’s a matter of getting rid of the biggest threat to this country’s future. Four more years of Trump will destroy the foundation of this country. It’s time to put an end to Trump’s real-life reality nightmare.
