As coronavirus cases continue to rise, so does people’s anxious behavior. Many have worked hard to follow the guidelines of wearing masks, social distancing and staying home.

However, many people are stir-crazy and ready to return to their normal daily lives. This mindset must be reconsidered out of respect for one another. I am urging people to stay home and push through a little longer so that we can get through the winter.

It is saddening that a global health crisis has been turned into a political disagreement. It must be a group effort, and we must care for one another. We must listen to the CDC and let the vaccine get distributed, continue to wear masks and stay home. With a strong final effort together, we can round the corner of this pandemic and return to more normal behavior.

I feel as though this is my generation’s challenge, but I remain optimistic because our country always overcomes its challenges.
