Despite President Trump’s recent change of heart, he must still be held accountable for the damage that has been inflicted by covid-19. His undeniable indifference to health experts’ advice early on will no doubt cost lives.

Moreover, his predominantly anti-scientific approach toward the pandemic is downright irresponsible. His longtime contempt for the field is not only unacceptable, it is dangerous, especially in a time when climate-related disasters are only becoming more frequent and more severe.

So, if you, like me, understand and respect the importance of science, the life of your grandma or grandpa, and the well-being of every health care professional who has shown up to work throughout this pandemic, please hold this president responsible for his (in)actions in November.

In the meantime, please pledge to vote with NextGen PA (especially for a candidate who does not reject scientific data in favor of his own unmerited opinion).
