For Norwin school board, I urge you to support candidates Alex Detschelt, Christine Baverso, Raymond Kocak and Shawna Ilagan. Each are parents with a vested interest in our children’s future and the only candidates who spoke out against mask mandates and school shutdowns while promoting five-day in-person learning.

They have vowed to vote against critical race theory and new taxes. They do not have other personal interests or family biases. When 70% of the community votes against unfair mitigations and agrees that five-day in person learning is essential, they will fight for these rights.

Opposing members of the board have family conflicts, specifically with the bargaining unit and teachers union. Such conflicts can cloud judgment and create power, control and special favors and can be a motivating factor in how they vote.

Your voice is not being heard. The Change4Norwin candidates are taking heat and the criticism from the opposition and yet they are standing firm. We need this strength and this majority. Vote for Detschelt, Baverso, Kocak and Ilagan for Norwin School Board on Nov. 2.
