Letter to the editor: We need competence, not chaos, from our leaders

Tribune-Review

Competence in leadership is crucial. When Democrats and President Joe Biden were at the helm, America experienced tangible results. Under Biden’s leadership, our economy thrived, unemployment reached record lows and families benefited from significant corporate taxation. In my opinion, Biden prioritized American workers, safely secured our borders (actually more than what was needed) and emphasized that law and order are nonnegotiable. That’s the essence of effective leadership.

In stark contrast, the extreme chaos we’ve seen under President Trump’s control has resulted in a crisis at the border and in many cities across our country, inflation that gets worse every day (remember tariffs?), and rising crime and mass shootings all across the once-United States (remember the NRA?).

These failures, compounded by foreign policy missteps, have diminished America’s standing in the world. Bad leadership yields bad outcomes, and no amount of political spin can obscure that reality.

Democrats provide strong, results-oriented leadership. Biden demonstrated that he can put America first and deliver on key issues like crime and safety and border security. As voters, we must select leaders who act with competence and conviction. The future of nation hinges on these choices.

Readers, I apologize for this poorly worded letter, but you can easily tell it was not written by AI, because it would be much better.
