With hundreds of thousands of coronavirus deaths in the United States, and cases still on an upward trend, it is imperative the distribution of the vaccine is faster and more efficient. How can this be done? The key is transportation.

If we can transport the vaccine to key areas in the nation (hardest hit states or hot spots in general) and establish enough covid-19 vaccination centers, we can start to control the pandemic. Once the hot spots are taken care of, and all the health care workers receive the vaccine, the pandemic should regress.

This is an obvious plan and solution, so why has it not happened yet? Lack of preparation? Incapability? Pure and simple incompetence? Regardless, it is a frustrating situation that should have been resolved sooner. The bottom line is transportation of the vaccine needs to be better. Currently, transportation is simply too slow to even put a dent in the pandemic. Speed is part of the equation to efficiency, and right now we just don’t have it.

And we’re suffering all the consequences because of it.
