In her column “Stop telling me what won’t work” (May 26, TribLIVE), Lori Falce, community engagement editor, explains how upset she is with people who constantly comment that suggestions to stop school shootings won’t work, so nothing gets done. Her closing comment, “Start telling me what might keep me from reliving every mother’s worst nightmare.”

Maybe I can do just that.

A letter I clipped a while back might help. It said, “Dear God, why do you allow so much violence in our schools? A concerned student.” The answer was, “Dear concerned student, I’m not allowed in schools. God.”

One atheist woman managed to get prayer out of schools. This only proves that an active minority will defeat an inactive majority every time. If it’s not too late, parents better get active and amend this travesty.
