I can’t understand why we keep changing from one thing to another. The coronavirus has cost us many lives, and many more if we keep fooling ourselves that it is not serious or deadly.

Everything was being dealt with until May 30; then our nation turned itself into a riot of demonstrators protesting the death of George Floyd. Concern about the virus diminished. Many places turned into green zones, and this brought about increases in deaths and sickness. Now shutdowns are in place again, and many signs point to a rerun of what started in December 2019.

I don’t have the answers, but it seems that many people are ignoring the act that this is serious. Our governors are rushing into the green phase, maybe because of all the tax money states are losing.

Our casual handling of these two issues is going to destroy us. It would be a terrible thing to happen. Only we the people can stop this. Democrats and Republicans can’t do this by themselves; we need to become one people.
