I grew up near Irwin and although I’ve moved away, I remain interested in the area and am a lifelong Steelers fan. I’m writing from a distance to implore Pennsylvanians to vote for Joe Biden/Kamala Harris.

Biden’s central planks are affordable health care, an organized plan to address the covid-19 pandemic, help for housing, attainable higher education, and a return to decency and law and order in government.

In my opinion, Trump is on the opposite side of all this and much more. I believe he is a moral cesspool (cheated on all three wives and paid off a porn star), has insulted the military, and generally behaves like a wealthy, entitled, arrogant, spoiled child. Rex Tillerson called him a moron, Gen. James Mattis and other senior military leaders believe him unfit for office, many of his advisers have been charged with serious crimes, and many principled Republicans are voting for Biden.

Our nation is pitied by a bewildered world, and I think it’s due to an utterly ineffective response to the pandemic. Trump was a terrible businessman and proves to me every day that he couldn’t manage a two-car funeral.
