Dear Mr. President,
We are concerned your memory is not as sharp as it used to be. So let us help you with some reminders.
We remember how you shut down oil pipelines and curtailed energy production on your very first days in office. Only to then beg Saudi Arabia to produce more oil.
We remember how you used executive actions that made the southern border less secure and encourage millions of immigrants to swarm into and across our country. We remember the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal and the death of 13 service members and how you kept looking at your watch when the bodies came off the plane. And the Americans and partners left behind with billions of dollars in munitions for the Taliban.
We remember when Europe did not have the largest full-scale land war since World War II. We remember when we had relative peace in the Middle East and the Abraham Accords. We remember when we didn’t have Chinese spy balloons hovering over our military bases and crossing our country. We remember when we did not have Iranian-backed proxies attacking American bases and shipping across the Middle East. And more dead bodies arriving at Dover.
We remember when North Korea was not firing long-range missiles into and across the Sea of Japan; and China harassing Taiwan with aircraft in their airspace. We remember 3% mortgage rates and 1.4% inflation. We remember $1.80 per gallon gas and $1 per dozen eggs. We remember when inflation was not costing us over $8,000 per year.
Yes, Mr. President, we do remember.
