Letter to the editor: We should help our country first
There are 446 million people living in the European Union. Almost 24 million are non-citizens. Many of these non-citizens arrived in waves coming from the EU’s south. The countries of the EU, in general, were highly in debt when the massive influx of immigrants flooded the border. It was well coordinated and planned out. There was no request for input from the people through their elected representatives.
Most people will help others as long as they do not believe it will adversely affect their family or community. Maybe the EU citizens would have agreed that their countries would permit some amount of legal immigration. But again, no request for their input. Sound familiar?
The mass immigration occurring under this administration was to happen under a Hillary Clinton administration. Donald Trump’s defeat of Clinton stunned the global elite and the UN. For years, the big-money donors of both the Democrats and Republicans would ensure that a globalist would be the nominee for president of both political parties. Trump put an end to that.
As a global leader, the United States should help others when economically feasible. It’s the right thing to do. But not until we significantly reduce our $34 trillion debt. Inflation and tax increases will not significantly affect the lifestyle of the global elite. It will, however, adversely affect those on fixed incomes and future generations. President Biden and Nikki Haley are both globalists backed by elitist money. Trump retains my vote again.
