Letter to the editor: We should man up instead of whining for help

Yet more letter-writers want to know why we aren’t receiving more help from the government. We are the government. We have borrowed ourselves almost into bankruptcy. The lack of personal and civic responsibility is staggering. We hold out our hands and whine for help.

It’s time we man up and realize we are our own worst enemy. At 96 I’ve never been so ashamed of our country.
