Where are the priorities in West Deer?

Infrastructure seems to have been overlooked in many areas within the township. It’s 2023 and there are residents that have no access to public water or natural gas, and some have not had their roads reconstructed or properly repaired for more than 20 years.

I understand it is not the township’s position to pay for installation of public utilities; however, it should be the priority of the manager and board members to meet, on behalf of the taxpayers, with utility companies to bring utilities within reach to tap in. And there is no excuse that many roads have stood in disrepair for more than 20 years.

The township’s priority seems to be focused on spending millions of dollars to build a new township office complex rather than addressing true needs of its residents.
