Westmoreland County, please help us help you: Please stay home!

Please accept this plea from the physicians, nurses and first responders in our county fighting covid-19 on your behalf. We will be OK and we are doing our part, but all of you have a huge influence on how things will play out.

The next two weeks are critical to our public health efforts to control the spread of covid-19. Community cooperation is essential to eliminating disease spread. As the weather gets nicer, please continue social distancing and resist the urge to congregate outside in groups. It is essential all families do their part to help us through the difficult and potentially dangerous time.

It will take the efforts of everyone to eliminate this disease threat from our communities. Please continue to maintain social distancing during essential travel outdoors and stay at home when at all possible.

William A. Jenkins, M.D.
