Letter to the editor: What has happened to our blessed nation?

How can the most blessed nation in history find itself in such chaos and despair? How can so many be deceived so easily and led down the path of destruction?

The standardized testing and corrupted curriculum of primary education and the subversive groupthink and indoctrination by universities have conditioned most for a life of conformity and control. The ability to critically think and reason has been intentionally undeveloped and suppressed so that there is little resistance.

Combined with a lifetime of television “programming” and corporate-controlled, agenda-driven news, most are rendered all but helpless in identifying the true nature of reality. Incremental changes are put into place until we find ourselves confined and controlled by a world of lies.

More and more of our language, movement, information, social interaction, education, entertainment, financial transactions, consumption and even our thoughts are coming under stringent control and manipulation. Our culture is so depraved and our ruling oligarchs so corrupt that words fail to describe them. We are enveloped by this darkness like fish unaware they are immersed in water.

In a post-God, digital age where much of life is conducted online, it is difficult for most to accept the fact that “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

We have entire generations who look away from the truth to stare into their digital screens and worship a false reality because “the god of this world has blinded their minds.” Do not be deceived.
