Letter to the editor: What Kamala Harris supports

What do we really know about Kamala Harris? She is on record to:

• Repeal Trump’s tax cuts

• Reduce military spending

• Relax immigration rules

• Institute tax increases, including a wealth tax and higher capital gains tax

• Support reparations in some form for descendants of slaves in the U.S. even though she is said to be a descendent of a Jamaican slave owner

• Provide Medicare for all, including illegal immigrants

• Eliminate private health insurance (although she later clarified that she supports private insurance for supplemental coverage)

• “Reimagine public safety” — to me, that means defund the police, even though she was attorney general of California

• Ban assault weapons. Goodbye Second Amendment.

• Provide “get out of jail” funds for arrested protesters, which could include rioters, looters and arsonists

• Support the Marxist Black Lives Matter organization

• Support all forms of abortion and fund Planned Parenthood

• End fracking and fossil fuels, alias Green New Deal

Harris always has been a radical environmentalist, and I believe that with the help of Bernie Sanders, she will drive our country quickly to socialism and communism.

So who and what Harris is is critical to the 2020 election. Reflect on the chaos in California, sanctuary cites, violent protesting, criminals getting out of jail, free drugs and Medicare for illegal immigrants — this is but a prelude to what we’d get with Harris as “president in waiting.”

Your vote has consequences, especially to the country you leave the next generation.

Vote for Republicans to keep our freedom, our rights and the country we love.
