Apparently, the Republican Party:

• Detests democracy, for in states where it controls the legislature (including Pennsylvania), it is considering voiding allocation of Electoral College votes according to the popular vote so instead to disenfranchise voters so that the legislature alone can select electors (as reported by Barton Gellman in The Atlantic).

• Shows no respect for the Constitution, for its abets a president who thinks he deserves a third term (in contradiction of the 22nd Amendment).

• Despises the right to vote, for it refuses to support a new Voting Rights Act, and across the country searches for non-existent voter fraud in a desperate attempt to win elections.

• Has no respect for human rights, for it supported policies that separate children from parents at the border.

• Does not believe in a fair day’s wage for a fair day’s work, for it steadily opposes raising the minimum wage to a figure that can support a family.

• Sees no problem with people either dying of preexisting conditions or going into medical bankruptcy, for it seeks to void the Affordable Care Act.
