Letter to the editor: What will it take to disavow Trump?

Will his actions and behavior ever be enough to dissuade those who propelled Donald Trump into office for a second reign?

Was it enough when he responded to a heckler with profanity and an obscene gesture? What does one tell an impressionable child when something like this takes place?

Is it enough as he threatens to take over weaker countries than ours for various purposes: to seize oil and rare earth minerals, to achieve prestige, to demonstrate power and whatever else? Is there any concern about his threat to seize Greenland, starting a war with that country and NATO in part because the petulant infant leader did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize?

Is it enough when we see agents of the federal government encouraged to be thugs as they brutalize residents, including peaceful protesters who occupy blue cities whose people the president despises? Does it matter that if the goal were to oust those who are undocumented were to be the most successful, it would be taking place in the states with the largest number of residents, red states like Florida?

Is it enough when the Justice Department is transformed into an arm of the president for the purposes of inflicting revenge, including vengeance against those former DOJ employees who did what they were called upon and required to do when they were assigned to investigate the president and his fellow Jan. 6 coup plotters?

If none of this is enough, what would be? Anything?
