Congressman Reschenthaler,
It has been a few months since my last message, and still, you are nowhere to be found. You have become one of the only elected officials in our region who seems unwilling to face the public or the press. The media can’t reach you for comment on virtually any issue, and your silence has become deafening.
Meanwhile, your voting record tells a very different story:
• You voted to end SNAP benefits for 11,071 of your own constituents.
• You voted to end Medicaid for 18,645 of your constituents.
• You voted for policies that allow health insurance premiums to skyrocket — mine alone will rise 46%, and that’s on the low end.
These aren’t abstract policy choices, they are decisions that affect real families, seniors and children right here in your district. So, I ask again: Where are you, Congressman? (WhereIsGuy.org)
We don’t need you traveling overseas to Israel while the good people of Irwin and the surrounding communities struggle to get by. We need leadership here at home. Especially now, with both federal and state governments mired in dysfunction, your absence is unacceptable.
Hold a town hall. Face the people you represent. Listen to the families whose lives are shaped by your votes. That’s the bare minimum of public service. You work for us, Congressman. It’s time to show up and do your job, because your job depends on it, and so do the lives of the people you were elected to serve!
Sincerely,
Doug Prah
Unity
