I wonder if the writer of the letter “Trump only cares about himself” (Feb. 8, TribLive) has jumped the gun on Gov. Josh Shapiro’s proposed legalization of marijuana. Maybe he could coin the phrase “Get woke, just toke!”

You know, cannabis-addled brains distort perception. How else to explain the author’s claim that law enforcement isn’t after you unless you have broken the law. Wow, tell that to some of the parents attending PTA meetings or church labeled as likely domestic terrorists by the FBI. Or what of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane operation?

As to lack of seeing President Trump’s accomplishments: if current southern border conditions are deemed an improvement, hell yeah, Trump failed miserably. The author must feel glee at the over 13-plus million immigrants (soon to be Democrats?); he ought to take a long, strong drag on that bong and try not to slip on the human feces as he navigates New York, Chicago and Philadelphia sidewalks.

And here’s a special shout-out for President Biden/Alejandro Mayorkas for permitting over 24,000 Chinese nationals coming from Mexico, I guess to see remnants of the Chinese spy balloon. Oh yeah, Trump failed at permitting Chinese balloon flyovers of our military facilites — you know, the ones that protect our country.

Who is it again who is intent on destroying our country? Trump???
