I rarely respond directly to those on the political left who attack conservatives with childish, personal insults; I always try to offer factual information to explain my political views. So, instead of juvenile insults, I will proffer several reasons why I refuse to vote for Democrats; I could cite dozens, but I’m limited to 250 words, so … .

Because so many Democrats have embraced political violence. Democrats called Charlie Kirk dangerous and a fascist (the lefty word of the year). Then some mocked and celebrated his assassination. They love to say that words matter. But not their words. The current Democratic candidate for Virginia attorney general, Jay Jones, once texted about murdering his political opponent and the opponent’s family. I haven’t heard of a single Democrat calling for him to drop out of the race.

Because Democrats have empowered criminals and undermined law enforcement. They cheered on the “defund the police” movement and supported violent rioters, demoralizing police departments. Radical Democratic prosecutors and judges have refused to lock up violent criminals, resulting in assaults and murders across the country. Last month in Charlotte, Ukranian migrant Ilyana Zarutska was slaughtered by a man who had been arrested 14 times!

Because the Democrats allowed, by some estimates, upwards of 10 million illegal immigrants into the country over four years, pretended it was no big deal, then ignored the fentanyl deaths, rapes and murders that resulted.

Focused, fact-based letters are thought-provoking. Screaming “Fascist! Racist! MAGA!” is just boring, lazy and immature.
