Letter to the editor: Why is Biden trying to destroy us?

I look at this president and ask myself why anyone who has been able to live a lifestyle envied by millions would be doing everything in his power to destroy the people who enabled him to live such a lifestyle.

Our IRAs are in dire straits with the Dow Jones losing nearly 5,000 points over the last 30 days. Inflation has hit its highest level in 40 years and gas prices continue to wreak havoc on our economy, affecting everything that touches our daily lives. Not to mention the crisis at our southern border.

In December 2021, the United States Geologic Society came out with a report titled “Assessment of Undiscovered Continuous Oil Resources in the Bakken and Three Forks Formation of the Williston Basin Province, North Dakota and Montana, 2021.” The survey estimated there are 4.3 billion barrels of oil and 4.9 trillion cubic feet of gas that’s recoverable from the area. The report states that “to date there has been 4 billion barrels of oil produced from this site.”

So why does the Biden administration want to import oil, which is inferior in grade, from Venezuela?

Reuters is reporting that an Iranian state firm is revamping refineries in Venezuela and will collect 110 million euro ($116 million) for doing the work. In other words, by buying their oil, the U.S. is financing the very people who want to destroy us.
