Letter to the editor: Why Trump succeeds
The supercilious media owners and their sycophant reporters who spout left-wing, Ivy League diatribe cannot believe a brazen plutocrat was elected president. He has proposed legislation and enacted policies that coincide with the desires of his electorate.
They are tired of smiling, supercilious sycophants who spout cliches such as “They don’t fool you folks.” How do you fool doorknobs — that is, as dumb as? The non-Ivy League, non-tiptoeing-through-the-tulips types have found someone who expresses their views and acts accordingly.
The political left represents a consortium of left-wing ideologues who not only subverted political decorum, but also promoted the demise of the country’s industrial base. They declared war on carbon-based fossil fuels. They further curtailed basic industries such as steel, aluminum and microchips. This was accomplished by establishing onerous environmental regulations that inhibited the construction of new facilities. These industries were welcomed in China. Then they wondered how China emerged as a world industrial power. In addition, the Obama administration, which I view as incompetent, promoted the transfer of automotive manufacturing to Canada and Mexico.
They relied on the fantasies of green energy as promulgated by those famed pseudoscientists Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez.
President Trump arrived at a propitious moment. Had another callow Democratic regime been installed, industrial mayhem would have continued to prevail.
Maybe this provides an inkling of why Trump rallies fill stadiums while Joe Biden operates from his basement.
