Letter to the editor: Will America survive Trump?

I received a letter from President Trump telling me what I already knew. My economic impact payment was deposited in my bank. What I would like to know is, how much taxpayer money was wasted on this blatant attempt by Trump to toot his own horn?

It is amazing he can take credit for anything that benefits this country but seems to blame anything bad on everyone else. If it isn’t the Democrats, it’s China or Mexico — anybody but him. He spends a lot of time campaigning, holding rallies for people who believe all his lies or playing golf at his golf clubs, charging taxpayers to feed and house his staff and assorted flunkies. If he would focus on the problems facing this country instead of telling people what a great job he is doing, maybe he would be doing a great job instead of racking up a dismal record.

His remarks about injecting disinfectants to kill covid-19 could have killed many people, yet his staff just shrugs it off as him being “sarcastic” or being “taken out of context.” Talk about fake news.

How much longer must the American citizens put up with him? I am counting the days. I only hope the country can survive that long.
