Letter to the editor: Will Trump send his sons to fight in his war?

So the man who campaigned for president and promised no more foreign wars or endless entanglements lied to the country. No surprise there, since I think all his campaign promises were lies when he made them. Nothing new there.

It was good of him, however, to let the country know that American casualties are likely. Something to expect during armed conflict. Will the president who loves using American military muscle for his own purposes offer any of his adult sons up for service? Barron is old enough to head to the front lines if needed. Right?

There is good news, however. Since it’s a good possibility that evil forces within the borders of the U.S. may look to retaliate, security forces have been beefed up at the White House, Mar-a-­Lago and J.D. Vance’s residences. The rest of the country is on its own.
