I read the article “Pence says Trump ‘endangered my family’ on Jan. 6” (March 12, TribLIVE). Former Vice President Mike Pence said, “I had no right to overturn the election. And (Trump’s) reckless words endangered my family and everyone at the Capitol that day, and I know history will hold Donald Trump accountable.”

Then I read the article “8 dead after smuggling boats capsize off San Diego coast” (March 12, TribLIVE) in the same edition. The article stated that “illegal crossings have soared under President Joe Biden.”

In 2016, there were 329 migrant crossing deaths; in 2018, 260 deaths; 2021, 557 deaths; 2022, 750 deaths. I wonder if history will hold Biden accountable?
