Letter to the editor: Will what goes around, come around, for Trump?

Have you heard the expression “what goes around, comes around”? It was one of my grandmother’s favorite pieces of wisdom. Donald Trump and his henchmen would do well to heed this.

I believe Trump has trampled our Constitution and forced his personal preferences on the American people. He’s declared President Biden’s actions signed with an autopen void, is investigating his political opponents for what appear to be personal reasons, is sending the military into Democrat-led cities, obviously out of spite.

He is deporting people without due process, punishing private and public companies for diversity programs, and dining in luxury at his Florida palace while many Americans cannot put a meal on the table. He has removed Black history from government websites and displays, installed his unqualified friends and supporters in positions of governmental power, and weaponized the DOJ to deflect attention, in my opinion, from his own crimes and indiscretions.

I take great comfort in knowing that Trump will not be president forever. And if the next president and Congress choose to take the “low road,” as Trump has done, they will not only reverse these blatant transgressions, but they will come after him and his political supporters to exact retribution. Hopefully, they’ll even tear down his ridiculous ballroom.
