We received our school real estate tax statement for 2020-21, which included an increase. As a former teacher and parent of three children who went through the local school system, I contribute to the education of our students, both in the classroom and extracurricular. This is money well spent in instructing and guiding our children.

Since this problem in our country with the coronavirus and how it is affecting our schools, I was trying to justify in my mind the appropriate use of our tax money in the school system. Since schools were closed, expenses for buses, cafeteria food, maintenance, custodial, etc. would have to be explained to me. I am all eyes and ears.
