The trouble with politicians is their vision is blurred by political correctness and they can’t see or do what is right for their townships, boroughs, state or nation.

Will Rogers once said “a remark generally hurts in proportion to its truth.” Trafford Councilman Zach Cole’s comment about Pennsylvania’s health secretary was nothing more than a minor jest (“Trafford leader’s cheap shot on Dr. Rachel Levine,” July 9 letter, TribLIVE). I have been to Trafford and West Newton many times, and both communities are a far cry from Berkeley, Calif. Both are embedded with blue-collar workers with blue-collar humor and language. Take a seat in any tavern in either town.

Levine is a political figure subject to what every night show entertainer would use against any politician. Business owners and the public are frustrated, and Levine and the governor have to take the heat for it. Our state has been stripped of its constitutional rights, and we are at the mercy of them.
