Once again, dictator Gov. Tom Wolf has made a decision that has negatively impacted the state’s economy. He painted that penalty over the entire state without regard to the counties that are faring well with the covid-19 numbers. He closed all bars and clubs that don’t serve food and placed even more constraints on the restaurants that were already struggling to survive.
Many of these bars contribute to charitable causes to promote their good names. The firemen’s clubs make money for volunteer fire companies. The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Moose, Elks and others contribute to the well-being of their communities and are assets.
But Wolf sees no reason to further limit Kennywood Park or casinos in Allegheny County, with its ever-ascending coronavirus numbers. Do you think that all of the protests had anything to do with driving this number up? Or was it just the bars and restaurants?
What are our legislators accomplishing? They just continue to allow Wolf to have his way. The way I see it, there are four choices for them: 1) Impeach Wolf. 2) Severely limit Wolf’s powers to do as he pleases. 3) Get involved in the decision-making process. 4) Resign.
I’ll not include all legislators, because some are trying to stand up. But we need an equal effort from all.
