I am writing in support of Leslie Uncapher Zellers for district judge. Our current magistrate is seeking another six-year term even though she can’t serve the whole term as a full-time regular district judge — she faces mandatory retirement when she turns 75. After 29 years, we finally have a real choice for district judge. After 29 years, it is time for change.
Zellers is the right choice. She is the choice of the police, she is the choice of the laborers union and she should be your choice, too. Our district doesn’t have part-time problems, and we deserve a district judge who can and will serve full time for a full term. We need a district judge who will be tough on crime to protect our families, but who also will be fair. We need a district judge who isn’t a career politician who you only see at election time.
For over 32 years, Zellers has been a lawyer, community volunteer, coach and mentor to so many people. She has all the qualifications and the experience we need in a district judge. Vote Zellers for district judge.
