Many know Leslie Uncapher Zellers as an attorney who was a prosecutor in Westmoreland County and who has worked for many of us in private practice. Those who know her dedication to families and children aren’t surprised by her dedication to serving the communities.

She started the Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Scholarship Ride, is the co-founder of the Fallen Officer Food Drive and is a member of the Back the Blue Committee, which raises money for local police departments. Her late husband was the police chief in New Kensington, so her passion to giving back to law enforcement is completely natural.

Her community service isn’t limited to police- related causes. She was a board member of the Valley Points Family YMCA and serves on the board of the Vandergrift Area Initiative. She coaches Kiski Area High School’s mock trial team and volunteers every year for Law Day. She has dedicated many hours of volunteerism to helping local families, veterans and other community causes. Because of Zellers, Lower Burrell now has a St. Patrick’s Day parade.

I support Zellers for district judge because she is qualified, experienced, and genuinely cares and respects all individuals. I also support her because she is passionate about community service and believes that leading by example is the best way to teach our children the importance of fairness, respect, justice and community service.

On May 16, please vote for Leslie Uncapher Zellers for district judge.
