A portion of Mt. Troy Road in Reserve, between Fornof Lane and Ampere Street, will close starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.
The closure is expected to last through late October.
The Allegheny County Department of Public Works announced Tuesday that it has allowed Peoples Natural Gas to close the road for a gas line replacement.
Traffic will be detoured using Fornof Lane, Houston Street, Ohm Street, Edison Street, Volta Street and Ampere Street. Residents living on Mt. Troy Road will continue to have access to their homes throughout the closure.
