Shaler area student news for the week of Jan. 24, 2023

The following students were named to the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University for the fall 2022 semester: Anne Beatrice Angeles, Brandon Berdik, Amanda Brock, Kylie Cross, Charly Driscoll, Julia Eaton, Kelly Fonzi, Monica Gralewski, Devin Hein, Brianna Impavido, Alexandra Jones, Jack Keenan, Connor Klaas, Jacob Kolling, Michael LaBella, Makayla Lau, Emily McAllister, Jacob Miller, Kelly Pare, Andrea Phelps, Matthew Phelps, William Planic, Lilliana Repko, Ella Richards, Abigail Royer, Sydney Ryan, Adam Soza, Skyler Tortorea, Dana Wolf and Rachel Zacharias.

Duquesne University students Allison Ketterer, Remy Pastierik and Samuel Gilmore were initiated into national leadership honor society Omicron Delta Kappa in December.

Noelle Roth, a sophomore at Shaler Area High School, won Shaler Area School District’s first-ever Holiday Card Design competition.

Bridget Nickel graduated from Ohio University’s College of Health Sciences and Professions with a bachelor of science in nursing in summer 2022.

Taylor Cigna and Heath Newman were named to the dean’s list at Colgate University for the spring 2022 semester.

Abigail Guiste, Stephan Adametz, Daniel Horgan and Jacob Mozurak were named to the dean’s list at Westminster College for the fall 2022 semester.

Tyler Hackady graduated from Marietta College in December 2022. He earned a bachelor of arts in psychology and is a graduate of Shady Side Academy.

Kelsey Marshall was named to the president’s list at Shenandoah University for the fall 2022 semester.

Kallie Polaski was named to the dean’s list at Baldwin Wallace University for the fall 2022 semester.

Ryan Shank was named to the dean’s list at the University of Mount Union for the fall 2022 semester.

The following students were named to the dean’s list at Pennsylvania Western University for the fall 2022 semester: Emma Abercrombie, Lexi Bruner, Justin Donnick, Neriah Hartz, Haylee Helch, Victoria Martrano, Courtney Norris, Aniya Peterson, Megan Povich, Julie Powers, Abigail Ricci, Leia Ross, Erika Waldron and Melissa Waldron.

Christopher King, Caleb Szramowski and Michael Perry were named to the dean’s list at Southern New Hampshire University for the fall 2022 semester.

Kayleigh Hegerle has been named to the dean’s list at Nazareth College for the fall 2022 semester.
