Making the Pro Bowl roster is a rite of passage for T.J. Watt and Jalen Ramsey. The two Pittsburgh Steelers defensive stars were selected to the games Tuesday for the eighth consecutive season.

They will be joined on the Pro Bowl roster by a newcomer, special teams player Ben Skowronek, who led the fans vote and was selected for the games for the first time.

Watt has been voted to the Pro Bowl in each of the past eight seasons since 2018. He currently is sidelined with a partially collapsed lung that has kept him out of the lineup for the past two games. Watt has seven sacks, an interception, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 13 games this season.

Ramsey, playing in his first season with the Steelers, has been a versatile defensive back for the team. A standout outside cornerback, Ramsey has played in the slot and at free safety this season, filling in wherever needed.

Ramsey returns to the Pro Bowl roster after missing it in 2024, his final season with the Miami Dolphins. In 15 games this season, Ramsey has one interception, seven pass breakups and a career-high three sacks.

Skowronek leads the Steelers with 20 special teams tackles, including 10 solo stops, as the gunner on coverage teams. He also has a fumble recovery.

A five-year veteran who is in his second year with the Steelers, Skowronek also provides depth at wide receiver and scored a touchdown in the season opener against the New York Jets.

“He cares a lot, he cares hard, he’s really talented and he’s a football player first,” coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday. “What I mean, is he’s a wideout who is a very good tackler. … You just always love doing business with guys like that who provide value in other ways than getting the ball.”
