Freeport High School graduate and Penn State defensive end Bobby White gets set to converge on Pitt quarterback John Congemi in a 1986 game. White and seven others will be inducted into the Alle-Kiski Valley Sports Hall of Fame on May 16, 2020.

Tickets are available for the 51st Alle-Kiski Valley Sports Hall of Fame banquet at 7 p.m. May 16 at the New Kensington Quality Inn.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by contacting Larry Lutz at 724-822-3695 or Bill Heasley at 724-882-3079.

Inductees are:

• Chris Como, Burrell and Pitt-Johnstown wrestling;

• Jeff Cortileso, Leechburg and WVU football, officiating;

• Bobby Mills, Highlands and Maryland-Baltimore County basketball;

• Glenn Mills, sports entrepreneur and founder of several teams;

• Terry Preece, Oakmont High School football and track;

• Lizzie Suwala Sheaffer, Ford City basketball, A-K Valley all-time leading female scorer;

• Bobby White, Freeport and Penn State football;

• Rich Kriston (posthumous), Fox Chapel football and wrestling, Penn State football.

Among the high school athletes to be recognized are:

• Alex Arledge, Burrell, Valley News Dispatch football offensive player of the year;

• Logan Harmon, Apollo-Ridge, VND defensive player of the year;

• Michael Sullivan, Deer Lakes, VND male soccer player of the year;

• Allie Vescio, Burrell, VND female soccer player of the year .
