Off since Dec. 22, Pitt will return to action Wednesday with a game against Syracuse at the Carrier Dome under a reconfigured ACC men’s basketball schedule.

Tipoff will be at 4:30 p.m. and the game will be televised by the ACC Network.

Syracuse was originally scheduled to play Florida State on Wednesday at the Carrier Dome, but that game was postponed after positive covid-19 results within the Seminoles’ program.

Pitt is eager to get back to work after its games last Tuesday at Duke and Saturday at home against Notre Dame were postponed following a positive covid test within Pitt’s program.

Ptt coach Jeff Capel, who missed the Louisville game Dec. 22 after testing positive for covid, was planning to return for the Duke game.

The Panthers were originally scheduled to play at Syracuse on Feb. 13.
