Ahkello Witherspoon practices fully, Levi Wallace does not for Steelers
Is this the week Ahkello Witherspoon returns to the Pittsburgh Steelers lineup? Wednesday’s practice suggests it might be.
Out since Week 3 because of a groin injury, Witherspoon was a full participant at the indoor session at UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. The veteran cornerback seemed on the cusp of a return last week when he practiced fully Thursday, but by the weekend he was not deemed well enough to play in the game at the Miami Dolphins.
Usual No. 3 cornerback Levi Wallace picked up the slack, playing all but one defensive snap in that game, but he emerged from it with a shoulder injury that prevented him from practicing Wednesday.

Also sitting out was nose tackle Montravius Adams (hamstring), defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi (knee) and reserve cornerback Josh Jackson (groin).
Listed on the injury report as limited Wednesday were tight end Pat Freiermuth (ankle) and wideout/return man Steven Sims (hamstring). Sims missed the Dolphins game.
The Steelers face the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Franklin Financial Field.
