Albert Dikwa led the way for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday night, scoring a goal in each half in a 2-1 road victory over Atlanta United 2.

The Riverhounds (14-7-5) moved into a tie with Birmingham Legion FC in the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference with eight games to play.

Dikwa’s first goal came in the 44th minute. Kenardo Forbes made a long pass forward to Robbie Mertz, whose one-touch pass sprung Dikwa in the middle of the pitch.

Atlanta (4-20-4) tied the score in the 66th minute when Jackson Conway headed in an Ajani Fortune cross from the right side.

The tie lasted about five minutes. Dani Rovira made a pass from the left side to Dikwa flashing to the far post for a running header that gave the Riverhounds the final margin of victory.

Next up for the Riverhounds is a home game with the Charleston Battery at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Highmark Stadium.
